For part 3 of our journey down memory lane we're hopping across the pond to London and Paris. After our wedding, almost two years ago now, Brooke and I (and Scott and Kristina) took what will hopefully be our first of many trips overseas. March is still a little cold over there and the weather changed quickly throughout the day. I tried to get these shots in chronological order and some that have overcast skies followed by bright blue aren't necessarily from different days. In fact, all of the shots from Paris were taken on the same day. These are a few of the several hundred images we racked up along the way.

Back in May the company I was working for went on their annual fun day. This year's trip was to St Augustine, the nations oldest city. While most of the office spent the day shopping I took the camera out for a walk. Here is what I came up with:

The blog was looking kind of sad with just one post so I though I'd do a sort of retrospective, and trot out some of my favorite images from past adventures. So the next couple of posts will likely be stuff that isn't new... more a look at where I've (we've) been. Having an infant hasn't left me with a whole lot of time to go out and shoot photos. I'm taking a lot of pictures of him which is possibly the most fun I've had behind the camera, but I'll save those for an all Jackson post some other time.
I'd really love to be able to do some portrait work, for work but I find I have a pretty hard time summoning the courage to get out and just be a photographer... for fear that my novice-ness will show through. But we learn best by doing right? Maybe sometime soon, after a little more practice. Anyways, here is round one of my personal favorites.

Jacksonville hosts the penultimate airshow of the Blue Angels' season each year (before they go home to Pensacola). The weather during the last week of October is usually beautiful with mid temperatures and sunny days. This year I wasn't able to make it to the second day of the show, which apparently was beautiful, so we braved the cool temperatures, light rain and low overcast to see what could be captured. There isn't much that is more compelling than gray planes against a gray sky, but the water vapor made for some pretty cool shots. Thanks for looking.
